Excavation & Perc Test Services in Upstate South Carolina

Before installing a new septic system, a successful perc test is necessary and required by law. Our excavation services prepare the site for the soil testing company.

What a perc test is for

A percolation test measures how quickly water soaks away into the soil on your site. That number is what determines whether a septic system can go in at all, and if so how large the drain field has to be. Soil that drains slowly needs more field area to handle the same household.

It is a permitting requirement, not a formality — which is why it happens before design and installation rather than after.

Where this fits if you are building

  • Site excavation so the soil testing company can do its work
  • Perc testing and soil evaluation for a new build or an addition
  • Then permitting, then the system install itself
